The Lucknow Festival is held in the months of November-December. It stretches for 10 days marked by colorful riot of dance, music and food. Organized by UP Tourism and Lucknow District Administration, it provides a colorful platform to the craftsmen to showcase their talent. Arts, crafts, finger-licking cuisines having regal look, the specialty of the city since the days of Nawab form the core essence of the festival.
Lucknow Festival is the celebration of the grandeur and elegance of the ancient Awadh or the present day Lucknow. It is a wonderful mirror of the rich cultural heritage of the City of Nawab. The ten-day event is marked by colorful procession. Dramas, graceful Kathak dance from famous gharanas, ghazals, classical songs create a dazzling ambience. The festival is dominated by various joyous events like kite flying, cock fighting. One gets to experience the rich cultural heritage of the cultured city of India. |
